“I have many different video files and am looking for the most efficient way to compress them all down into a smaller archive. Any ideas?”
It is still easy to shrink a video file to a smaller size. But when dealing with multiple video compressions, a powerful batch video compressor is required. In the following, we will provide an advanced bulk video compressor to help you mass compress videos with minimum quality loss. Learn more details below.
For Windows users, WonderFox HD Video Converter Factory Pro is the perfect bulk video compressor that can compress multiple video files in one go. It is easy to use, and all you need to do is to import all your videos and then use the compression button to start the process. It also offers various codecs, including the advanced H265/HEVC, which you can use to batch encode videos to smaller size files while preserving quality. For experienced users, they can even use the customizable settings to modify the video bitrate, resolution, framerate, etc. to compress video files further.
Besides mass compressing videos, HD Video Converter Factory Pro is also a batch video converter to convert multiple video files in bulk. It supports all video formats, e.g. MP4, MKV, AVI, MPG, MTS, and more, and can output files to 500+ formats and devices. Now, let’s see how to batch compress video files with this software in the next part.
Launch the bulk video compressor and enter the “Converter” program. Next, click the center + button or the upper-left “Add Files” to import your videos into the program. Alternatively, you can drag the source files into the interface directly.
At the bottom of the workspace, click the triangle button to set an output folder in advance.
Click to open the right-side output format list and go to the “Video” category. Select your preferred output profile from the options below.
Tips. You can choose the H265 profile (H265 for MP4 or H265 for MKV). This codec can re-encode your video to a much smaller size file without damaging the video quality. But note that the process is resource-intensive that it converts only 1~2 files at a time.
In the main interface, click the compression button and drag the slider to the right to set a compression ratio. As you drag the slider, the output size will change in real-time and you can see it in the video task. Remember not to push the compression ratio too high if you want a decent output video quality.
Tips. Besides using the compression button, you can also go to the “Parameter settings” to downscale video resolution, bitrate, and frame rate to reduce video file size. For other methods to compress videos, please refer to How to Compress Video from GB to MB?
Finally, hit the “Run” button to compress all the video files. It will take some time to compress the video files depending on your PC specs. If you use the HEVC encoding, the process can take longer.
